Godless Heathens #3

Dirty Twisted Lord

Rate this book
We are godless heathens.
We are kings.
And we will never be dethroned.
— Killian — It’s spring semester, my last at the Asylum.
Hydrotherapy.
Electroshock.
I’ve tried all the fringe methods.
Still, they call me a sadist, a sicko, deranged.
In here, though, I am lord.
I found the new girl on her knees in the campus chapel.
She must not have heard.
Salvation is dead.
Kneel before me, sweetheart. — Millie — I shouldn’t be here.
I’m not sick.
I’m not like these people.
I made a mistake. I want to go home.
A guy found me in church today. He cocked his head and asked me what I was doing.
Then, he stole a kiss so he could taste my pain.
I don’t like it here.
I don’t belong.
I promise I’ll be a good girl, daddy, if you let me come home. Author's Dirty Savage Lord is a dark academia gothic romance recommended for those 18+ . It features mature themes including, but not limited to, an explosive heat level, bullying, and, like my other novels, struggles with mental illness. This book is the final of three standalone novels in the Godless Heathens universe, each of which takes place at Chryseum Reformatory Academy and features one of the three lords of the Academy (Saint, Gabriel, and Killian). Reading the other books in the series is not necessary to enjoy this book. Please read the content/trigger warnings carefully before reading, available either through the Look-Inside feature or on my website (linked on my Amazon author page and TBA soon).

Jordan Grant

Jordan Grant is a lost soul, who changed majors three times in college before deciding on English. Because she has about as much patience as her beautiful, wonderful (did she mention ah-mazing!) younglings, she graduated a year early and then went to law school because...

Well, she mentioned she’s a lost soul, right?

A special place in her heart is devoted to edgy alpha males and bad boys with naughty mouths. She loves to get lost in the blur between love and hate and is especially fond of prince charmings with dents in their crowns and strife in their souls.

She is an avid fan of all things sweet including red wine and cupcakes (red velvet, please!). When she’s not daydreaming about the characters in her head, she enjoys (attempting to) garden, petting furry animals, and wrangling her family into day-trip adventures.

“Is this a sin?” she asks. “You taste like salvation, angel,” I tell her, “not damnation”

5/5 3/5 🌶️

If Saint and Gabe are considered psychos, which they undeniably are, mfing Killian takes the cake! This was my favorite of the series! Killian was everything I hoped and wished for!!! Getting to know him through the previous book, I was so excited to get into his mind and yet… I wasn’t prepared! Because Killian is perfect, totally insane, very intense, can be cold but also soft. But mainly Killian is every shade of unhinged. He has this all-consuming presence that I couldn’t get enough!

I loved every part of this book. The plot was good, with great pacing, the chemistry of the characters was exceptional. We got to meet again the couples from the previous books. I missed Saint and Willow so much!

This book’s trope is religious trauma, as expected from the hints in the previous books. There's so much corruption of everything "holy" and devout. Millie is a very pious individual and Killian suffers from severe trauma and a god complex. Let’s just say that their dynamic was addictive and powerful. And to add to that, there’s defilement of religion. Killian plays with it like it's his favorite toy! This book is intense and there are a lot of topics that could be triggering, so check the tws. Personally, I loved every second of it!

Millie, who in the beginning I thought was too soft, turned out to be amazing. She had such growth and an amazing development. Killian and Millie complimented each other perfectly. I enjoyed her povs, her struggles and her heartwarming attitude!

I’m actually sad to say goodbye to these characters. I had so much fun with their books. I truly hope we get a book with Saint's brother!

I prayed today that you'd come and save me. But a guy found me inside the chapel on my knees instead. I asked him if he was an angel but then he kissed me on the alter like the devil itself.

This series was my jump back into the MF world and to see it end feels so bittersweet! Millie and Killian were so darn good together, it almost hurt to finish the book. This book was VERY dark and had me questioning my morals many times while reading it! Both of the MCs are so broken and bruised, and this was no easy romance. The author did an amazing job balancing the character and plot perfectly, allowing us to see fully into their backstories and shows how something so unconventional can be so beautiful. Overall this was a beautiful end to the series and I can't wait to see what comes next for the author!

Jordan Grant saved the most twisted and darkest of the three brothers for last, and she doesn't disappoint. Killian is every bit the disturbed and broken heathen, and psychologically the most damanged of them all. He craves all things death and desperately desires to sully the purest of character. Enter Millicent who has led a religion driven existence, and who prays dilligently. She is the light to Killian's darkness.

Definitely check trigger warnings before reading, because there are a lot in this one. Each book in the series that I've read, I think that nothing can possibly top it in disturbing content, but Jordan Grant has really put it all on the table for this conclusion to the series.

While this series won't be for everyone, for those of us who like a dark villian getting the girl this book really scratches the itch.

Thank you to Wordsmith Publicity for providing me with an ARC of this book.

It’s time for Killian’s story, and damn the boy has some trauma! Now don’t get me wrong, but he was a tad but disappointing. I mean what he did to Millie was unhinged, but i was waiting for more of his unhinged side. For now Saint’s book was too tier in terms of him being a psychopath and bullying Willow.

Get ready for some extreme bloodplay, and religious trauma and some secrets that once they get uncovered i just wanted to climb into the book and g*u*t a character! It’s the final term at the Asylum and it’s bound to make everyone work for that graduation! We’ll get to see more of Dr Butcher and his unorthodox methods as well as see our previous couples (which was so good!)

Now as i mentioned before i expected Kill to do even more stuff to Millie (as if what he did to her wasn’t enough) but in all honestly the book was more focused in characters rather than their unhinged spicy times. And i honestly hated the ending, it was as if all of their “hard” work to graduate didn’t mean anything. Why willingly sign up for 4 more years in a different institution? But i do look forward to the stories from there!

Oh, how I’ve loved this book.
He was my favorite character from the start. Gloomy, dark, silent, I just knew there was something so painful set deep inside him. I didn’t expect it to be this.
When I tell you I adore books mingled with religion, I mean it.
Millicent and Killian just clicked perfectly, their traumas fitting into place like puzzles and brining them together.
She was hurt and betrayed by someone closest to her, and he was there to erase it all from her skin.
The way he was protective of her literally melted my heart.
Reading about him dealing with the aftermath of avenging her was relatively painful. I could feel the struggle and the need for cleansing. It was scary, but also beautiful.
This was a wonderful finale of the series. In my opinion, Jordan saved the best for last! 💛

Killian had me biting my nails off, praying for salvation and melting into a puddle all at once and that’s not even an accurate description for this dark, twisted and delicious book, Dirty Twisted Lord. If you haven’t started the Godless Heathens series, do so immediately. Unless you have an aversion to dirty talking, dangerously handsome, obsessively possessive psych0s with bl00d lust, you will absolutely love every page, every sentence.

Killian was actually a lot sweeter than I expected, if that’s even possible. He’s still a little bit of a psycho, but he ain’t nothin compared to Saint.

I actually thought the dynamic between him and Millie was really cute, in an asylum “I want to taste your blood” kind of way.

Poor Millie. What happened to her was VILE! 🤢 and Killian’s story isn’t much better, but their love for each other was so good!

Idk how I can call this book sweet, but it was. I think my brain is broken.

Edit to add: CHECK THE TRIGGER WARNINGS! Man, I made the mistake of not doing that with someone else’s book recently……. 🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢 check those TWs babes!

Dirty-Twisted-Lord

Killian found his new victim on her knees in his chapel, sobbing and praying to a god who had abandoned her as soon as she set foot in Chryseum Academy. The white-blonde-haired angel caught the devil’s attention. The devil’s gaze, fixated on that sight, stirred a hunger within him, a desire to corrupt that pure soul and taint it with his darkness.

He wants to corrupt her, but she wants to save him. Millicent will give him more than her tears and blood.

She wanted to atone for all the sins she’d made. That’s why her father sent her to the academy, but God has sent her the broken devil. He might be her penance, her chance to redeem herself. While she tries to get the blue-eyed devil to pray, he makes it his mission to tempt her. But with every touch, lies and confusion settle in, making her question many things.

Will the devil tempt the angel, or will they be each other’s salvation?

Dirty-Twisted-Lord-2

This is the third book in the Godless Heathens - Chryseum Academy series. Like the last two books in this series, this one is also a dark bully romance novel with a long list of warnings. Twisted and steamy, with plenty of emotional scenes to add to this dark and compelling gothic tale.

Dirty-Twisted-Lord-1

I’ve been waiting for Killian’s story, and it was worth the wait. His trauma caused him to seek the religious so he could corrupt them. Millie’s trauma and his made their relationship a beautiful mess. Redemption and revenge. They will have to create their own reality when everything that feels familiar begins to change when they are together.

I love how readers get to know the guys better as they get dragged into the hole with Dr. Boucher. It feels like that’s the only time they would acknowledge their past. They won’t talk about it, but in these scenes, we get the whole background story of how they became who they are now.

Dirty-Twisted-Lord-4

Both Killian and Millie have had their own traumatic experiences, and the chapel seems to be where they both go when their memories resurface. Religious people who were supposed to practice what they preach ended up inflicting the worst pain on their children, leaving them scarred by the painful experience. But this couple has taken the pain and turned it into strength. They are perfect together. In every twisty, unhinged way.

The girls also formed their own group and, along with their friends, found the closest thing they had to family and friends. I’d love to see them again, even if only in a few scenes in Chryseum's sister school, the Prodigum University series.

Dirty-Twisted-Lord-3

Jordan Grant knows how to write a villain and make you fall in love with them. The edgy bad boys who fall hard for their girls. The well-written enemies to lovers and the dark romance. It only took one sentence for me to fall in love with her books, and I’ve made it a point not to miss another book by her.

“Dirty Twisted Lord” by Jordan Grant was the final installment of the Godless Heathens series and let me tell you… it ended with a BANG! I thought I was going to have a hard time picking my favorite Lord of the three — Gabe from book #2 was winning for a while — but the moment I met Killian, I knew! I KNEW! He was running away with the crown. MAJOR swoon even though he is probably the most “messed up” of the Lords. He has been present throughout the entire series and I believe Jordan saved the best for last. The series gets darker and darker as each book progresses and this one was the darkest read, at least for me, and it was utter perfection.

I have been patiently waiting for this book because the intense need to meet Killian was driving me crazy! Grant delivered on EVERYTHING I wanted and needed from this book. It’s fitting that Killian was the MMC at the end of the series. I won’t give anything away but because of his “kinks” it makes perfect sense it was him. Way to go on the strategy there, Jordan! I couldn’t have loved Millie, our FMC, any more if I tried. She was the ying to Kill’s hang in every sense of the word and it was refreshing to see her innocence crumble and her take charge of her life and stand up for all the crap she’d been through. That is another thing I truly love about this series — Grant knows how to write a damn FMC. Each one is great but Millie was my favorite.

I have said it before and I will say it again. Grant does this thing, when she’s writing and crafting, where you get to know her characters on the DEEPEST of levels before they connect and give into one another. She takes the time to build their background and how they end up at the Academy and why they have their demons and it’s wonderful. I am a sucker for a descriptive type of book and Grant delivers on that for me. There is not a whole lot of dialogue because we’re getting front row seats to the inner workings of these characters. The spice hits late (it’s a slow burn, yall) but when it does…. 🥵 I applaud it.

The series is interconnected and you don’t HAVE to read them in order but to get the full experience, read the dang series in order. I promise you it’s worth it!

Y’all. Gotta go because my flight is FINALLY boarding now to Chryseum Reformatory Academy and I can’t be late (check my other reviews for other flight updates 😂)

Dirty Twisted Lord - Godless Heathens: Chryseum Academy #3 - Review

We are godless heathens. We are kings. And we will never be dethroned.

Author: Jordan Grant

Couple: Killian & Millie

Tropes: dark romance, dark academia romance, forced proximity, found family, reform academy, morally grey MMC, innocent FMC

Review: Killian is HERE! Jordan gives us a dark and intense last installment of the Godless Heathens trilogy with Killian and Millie’s romance! I was not prepared for how much Killian would draw me in and I am sad to see this series come to a close.

Killian’s character is exposed in this book and he comes in a close second to Saint in terms of how hard I fell for his character. The way his past is unraveled and disclosed in this book explains so much about his character and what makes him the way he is. In previous books we get snippets of his obsession with the abandoned church and his followers but this book finally focuses on his desire to get repentance. I loved how hard he fell for Millie and his confusion about his feelings when he first notices them. Killian was the most in tune with his feelings compared to Saint and Gabe and it made for a wild ride of ups and downs.

Millie was also the perfect match for Killian in all ways. Jordan did a great job with writing her character and developing small details that drew Killian toward her. I appreciated how she told Killian about her past and the trauma she and after she trusted him and knew that he would protect her. The inclusion of Willow and Avery were also vital to this book and I was so happy we get to see more of them. The friendship and bonds all three FMCs form was perfect for the closing of this series and I am hoping we get bonus content with them at university.

While this book is spicy and dark, the buildup was the best. Killian and Millie are on two opposite ends and I enjoyed the way he sucked her in but also did not drown her character out. I thought including Killian’s reliance on Saint and Gabe was important since it showed us how much he cared for his friends’ opinions. And of course I loved seeing more Saint in this book and his uber dry commentary towards Killian’s feelings made this book for me.

Rating: 100+, Killian is a favorite for this series and a close second to Saint!

So I want to put it out there and say I freaking loved this book!!! 🖤🖤🖤

She is really, really dark, though, so check your trigger warnings, please!!! I read a lot of dark books, and I actually had to put this book down a few times for a couple of minutes because it was a lot to process.

Poor Killian has obvious religious trauma. It is so devastating what he went through, but I think he is always such a strong individual to be able to pull through what he went through. He is obviously deranged and suffering from mental health issues and needs certain things in his life to deal with it. Enter Millie.... Killian's way of life and his thought process are questioned to a degree when he can't get enough of Millie. Is it weird that I actually really like him? He cares about his friends and Millie in his own way.

Millie, such a beautiful soul. There are no words to describe the torment she went through. I was so upset when we finally did learn what truly happened. Her and Killian together were amazing, and I really enjoyed their story. I loved that Millie came into her own with the confidence that got from being with Killian. Does she really deserve to be enrolled at Chryseum Reformatory Academy???

This is the 3rd and final book in the Godless Heathens series. You don't have to read in order. However, you have a better understanding of the world.

Jordan did an amazing job at this book!!! I really enjoy her storytelling. I highly commend her in relation to the writing about mental illness and religious trauma. It was written with so much respect.

Thank you to Jordan and Wordsmith Publicity for giving me the opportunity to ARC read this book. I really appreciate it! All opinions are my own 😊

The first two books in this series were fantastic reads, and this one was no different. There wasn’t a part I did not like! Reading about these characters is just so fascinating . Millie has been raised in a religious home and anything remotely affection related is a sin. She comes across as very innocent. Killian is intriguing and I like the way his character is written. Him and his shadow. He is a very intense character.
These two characters have some sort of religious trauma that has affected them in different ways. Millie is devout in her religion and prays any chance she gets, while Killian is more psychologically damaged by his past. Because of this, their characters seem to complement each other and I loved their dynamic.
We get to see more of the Butcher's unconventional ways and I like that we get to see more of Saint and Gabe and their girls.
Killian is every bit the dirty twisted lord and I'm here for it! His thought process is dark and depraved, clearly showing the godless heathen he is.
His demons run deep, and his desire to sully the pure and innocent Millie knows no bounds.
I love how this author portrays both sides of the religious coin by showing two completely different ways in which people can follow the lord and how warped they can get in their thinking
Everything Millie knows to be the truth, is really a lie she has been made to believe. She has Killian help her forget why she was sent to the asylum in the first place.
This author does not disappoint with the final book in the godless heathen series and delivers the last psychotic lord.
I loved the writing and how addictive was. This was a nail biter and a book I couldn't put down! I'd love to see how they go at college! I would recommend this one to anyone who loves heir MMCs dark, twisted and psychotic.

I was scared of jumping into this book but I came out on the other side unscathed. The final installment in the Godless Heathens series by Jordon Grant is mind-blowing. This is nothing short of a dark and thrilling edgy romance that kept me on the edge of my seat from start to finish.

This is more than just a bully romance, it dives deep into the psyche of its characters, exploring themes of revenge, obsession, and redemption. If you're a fan of dark romance with complex characters and a gripping story, this series is a must-read. However, do heed the numerous trigger warnings, as this book delves into some heavy and graphic scenes that are not for everyone's reading palette.

This story revolves around deeply disturbed Killian, a man haunted by the traumatic religious trauma he witnessed as a child. His quest for revenge against God takes a twisted turn when Millie, a devout believer sent to Chryseum for repentance, becomes his unsuspecting target.

Killian, despite his psychopathic tendencies, he's utterly captivating. Killian is terrifying, insane, and fascinating all at once. I was drawn into his complex psyche and Millie's need for atonement. Her journey from confusion and fear to empowerment is heart-wrenching yet addicting to read. Grant brilliantly portrays her struggle to distinguish reality from the constructs of her own mind, which drew me deeper into her story with every page.

The chemistry between Killian and Millie is undeniable from the start, and the cat-and-mouse games they play create a riveting dynamic, that I thoroughly enjoyed. Killian's bloodlust and Millie's desperation for salvation intertwine to create a palpable tension that pulls you in.

Loved this!! Killian is dark perfection and Millie is a ray of light and hope in an epic final book for the Godless Heathens series.
After watching his dad kill his mom in the name of God and then purely by fluke killing himself, Killian is on a mission to save every soul he can from God and Millie has just become his next target in his wicked game of revenge. Millie is a devout believer in God and her dad has sent her to Chryseum to repent for her sins. Like a lamb to slaughter Millie aligns herself with Killian, believing if she can make him believe all her sins will be forgiven. But Chryseum changes you, secrets always come out, and the people closest to you always hurt you the most.
I loved Killian, he's definitely a hero in his own incredibly messed up way in this book, saving Millie on multiple fronts and giving her strength and safety that she never knew she was missing. For an incredibly deranged and often times psychotic guy he's a strangely excellent boyfriend. And Millie really came through as a character for me, finally believing in herself and growing a pair to stand up for what she knows is true, loved her a lot more than I thought I would when I first started reading. This book is a definite five star read for me and Jordan Grant once again blows me away with how she can make a book that has plenty of gruesome, tragic, and twisted things going on it seem so deep and thoughtful in it's own dark way.
Also, since it's the final book in the Godless Heathens series (super sad about this!) I have to say that I was absolutely thrilled with the epilogue and wrap up of where our three heathens end up.

I was waiting sooo impatiently for Killian’s book since the first book in this series came out and I’m so glad that its finally here!!!

He was always so mysterious in the other books and this one really delivered on what makes him, well him.

I think Millie and Killian are my favorite couple of the series. They are both extremely damaged by the religion that was instilled in them when they were younger.

“𝐼 𝑔𝑢𝑒𝑠𝑠 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑡𝑟𝑢𝑡ℎ 𝑓𝑜𝑟 𝑢𝑠 𝑖𝑠 𝑠𝑖𝑚𝑝𝑙𝑒𝑟 𝑡ℎ𝑎𝑛 𝑡ℎ𝑎𝑡.

Kill is truly UNHINGED and Millie happens to land in his sights. Honestly I felt so sad for her but sooooo glad when she finally saw the truth and became so strong.

Jordan Grant pushed the boat out with this one and saved the most twisted and darkest of the lords for last, and boy oh boy he does not disappoint. Killian is every bit the disturbed and broken heathen. He is also probably the most psychologically traumatized and damanged of them all.
He owns all things death and his desire to sully the purest of those he comes across. Enter Millicent! New to the academy, who has led a religious and sheltered life until now. A good girl who prays constantly and has found herself in a den of wolves. She is the light to all of Kill's darkness. His Angel!

It’s the final term at the Asylum and it’s bound to be hell on earth and if they want to survive for graduation they will have to work for it! We’ll get to see more of Dr Butcher and his unorthodox methods lets hope Millie can stay clear of that mess because of all the girls she is definitely the softest of heart.

We also get to catchup with our previous couples, so you know there is bound to be more trouble than ever.

Definitely check trigger warnings before reading, because there are a lot in this one. Each book in the series that I've read, I think that nothing can possibly top it in disturbing content, but Jordan Grant has gone all out for this one.

Get ready for some extreme bloodplay, religious trauma and secrets that will make you turn in your grave (pun intended).
Welcome to the Asylum 🖤🖤

3.5, but rounding up.

The final book in this series. I think out of all three books I like this one best, even if the religious girl in me was a wee bit squeamish and uncomfortable at times. I don’t care about all the twisted things that happened, but if you believe in a higher power, you might twitch a little. I think this was the darkest one.

That being said, Killian and Millie were my favourite couple. Kili and Millie (I amused myself with that one the entire book). I think Killian was the best developed ‘lord’, but that could just be my preference. You really get a good look inside his head, and despite being 200% effed up, I still rooted for him.

Millie was an okay MFC, which for me, is saying a lot since I usually can’t stand them. Maybe I could relate to the sheltered religious girl a bit, though I never went through anything like she did. I could definitely relate to the innocent outlook although at 18, I wasn’t as clueless as her.

The writing was good, although I feel like there was maybe a teeny bit overkill on the inner monologue. I guess considering this series deals with mental health issues, it makes sense. I also felt everything was squeezed in a bit, like the other two books. To be fair, it might just be because I’m used to a trilogy, and these were individual stories even though they blended together nicely.

There were a few typos, but I can handle a few.

And the epilogue made me happy, because it ties up the series nicely.

This is an extremely dark book; there are so many content warnings in this story that it will take up my entire caption to list them all, but this is a dark romance set in an asylum, so if you were expecting rainbows and puppies this isn’t for you. Fortunately for me, I can read graphic and heavy material, but I understand that not everyone can, so please read the trigger warnings before diving into this.

THIS BOOK WAS MIND-BLOWING!! Jordan Grant had me glued to my Kindle from the moment it arrived and I read every chapter in one sitting. Let's start with Killian, who I would literally move to another country to avoid in real life because he's utterly terrifying and is a disturbed psychopath who's lived through some heavy religious trauma as a child, but he was phenomenal in a fictional sense, an absolutely fascinating and insane character and I can’t say I didn’t cheer him on when we got to a scene that had my jaw dropping to the floor. What can I say, I enjoy dark and twisted fictional men.

Millie is such a strong character to have gone through what she did. It genuinely broke my heart to read her confusion and fear, and how she continuously questioned what was real and what she had made up in her head. It was hard to read but madly addicting all at the same time. I felt for her and was drawn into her story with Killian.

Thank you to the author for this ARC. I am leaving this review voluntarily

𝗔𝗥𝗖 𝗥𝗘𝗩𝗜𝗘𝗪: 𝗗𝗶𝗿𝘁𝘆 𝗧𝘄𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗟𝗼𝗿𝗱 𝗯𝘆 𝗝𝗼𝗿𝗱𝗮𝗻 𝗚𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘁
𝗥𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗡𝗚: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

First, there was Saint, the leader of the Chryseum Reformatory, which is more of an asylum. He is a diagnosed psychopath. Though entirely unhinged, he had a soft spot for Willow, a fellow student/patient.

Then there was Gabe, who, at the time, I thought was my favorite. He is a sociopath and a diagnosed pyromaniac. He, too, is one of the leaders of the asylum and connects with Avery, who is quite challenged by her struggles.

But last, as author Jordan Grant completes the Godless Heathens Trilogy, there is the devilishly angelic with the bright blue eyes, Killian. Killian has enormous religious trauma caused by his father. His character was both sad and chilling at the same time. Jordan Grant's writing led me through Killian's story as he struggled with his ghosts and dissociation from reality. She weaved it gracefully with Millie's story, the new patient, and Killian's love interest. I was ultimately in awe at how raw I felt as both characters' trauma came out through the story and the school's attempt to "cure" them. "Dirty Twisted Lord" was a page-turner I had trouble setting down. I didn't want to let go of the characters. Perhaps readers will see them again one day.

Have you ever come across a book or a series that just 100% captivated you in a way no other has in quite some time ? That played on all your emotions to the point you’d find yourself utterly speechless one minute, then yelling outta pure frustration the next ? That was so beautifully written and emotionally charged there were two times you Would feel like your heart was being torn right outta your chest with tears streaming down your face . Well Dirty Twisted Lord made me feel all those things and so much more . Killian and Millicent - I could not get enough of these two - both such unique characters and very multi layered, I was hooked from start to finish, no really I could not devour it fast enough and man did I lose so much sleep . I really could not have asked for a more perfect conclusion to a series that very quickly become a obsession of mine . Dark , raw , gritty and emotional, angsty , steamy, filled with secrets , lies , intrigue, suspense, non stop action, twists and turns, passion , obstacles, family, friendships and phenomenal world building.💜 Tropes Dark romance 🖤 Bully Romance 💜Dark Academia. Jordan Delivers every single time . In fact you absolutely need to read this entire series because it’s the perfect example of just why she’s one of my top ten favorite authors.

“I want the taste of your innocence and the flavor of your pain,” he says, his expression deathly apathetic. “I want every sinful thought and sacrilegious word. Then I want you to bounce on my cock and scream my name so loud even God can’t deny you are mine.”

Oh man was this so freaking good. I loved the other book's, but this one just went beyond what I was expecting and I couldn't put it down for anything. Through the other book's you got a lil taste of Killian but while reading this you find out why he's the way he is and it broke my heart for this lil guy. While reading this book granted it's in an asylum I've always have had my doubts about the help these people need or get, because it was evident these kid's weren't even though it's in a book which is why this series will get your attention as the 3 guy's or Lord's Saint, Gabe & Killian of Chryseum Academy deserve to find the one that calms the noise. Killian find's his angel one night crying, running towards the chapel when he confronts her he sees before him an Angel he wants to defile, and she see's is boy with the devil in him.
Can she tame the beast or will the beast win? I'm so glad this ended the way it did now I have to wonder will the arthur follow them to college, because Saint's older brother is there, so hmmm what's his story.

The Godless Heathens trilogy is now complete and Jordan saved the best for last.

“My shadow screams and shouts. He demands that I make her bleed, taste her blood, and make a mockery of God right here and now. I don’t do any of that, though. I just sit there, holding the angel who fell from Heaven and into my life as she shatters.”

Killian and Millie are the dark and light of everything in this world. Both wronged by people they loved and trusted. Both had their innocence ripped from them by someone they loved, and trusted.

Even though this story is dark (dark, dark) and deals with heavy topics such as mental health issues, abuse, murder and religion (mind the trigger warnings), it's truly a story of growth and redemption and of course ends in a HEA that is so deserved.

There's no doubt in my mind why Jordan Grant is a one click author for me. She won me over a long time ago, but these heathens sealed the deal. I'm sad to see them and their ladies go and hope to see a glimpse of them in the future, but in my heart I know they're going to be just fine.

If you haven't read the others in this series, you should. You don't *have* to in order to enjoy this one, but it'll be even better if you do.

This one follows Killian — a psychōpath with a god complex who finds his obsession in his forest and ultimately in his chapel. What Killian wants, Killian gets.

Millie was dropped off like most who are in the asylum and school, being told she needs to repent and bring a temptation in the eyes of her own father. When she finds the chapel in the forests outside of the school she thought she found salvation and safety. But only the devil prowls here.

The steam is there right off the bat when they first meet and the cat and mouse games that follow had me hooked. Killian’s bloodlust truly shined in this, for those living and in the morgue. I absolutely loved his shadow — a demon whispering in his ear.

I LOVED the return of the other two and their respective ladies, and how Killian took Millie under his wing. Not that she had a choice in the matter. HOWEVER. I love the growth in Millie when we compare her throughout the novel, especially with her found ‘family’, because family doesn’t need to be blood related.

The ending is absolutely perfect for this series and I ABSOLUTELY loved it. The actions were a long time coming and a massive relief. I am sad to see this series end but thrilled to see what comes next.

Dirty Twisted Lord is book 3 in the Godless Heathens series by Jordan Grant. Be warned straight away that there are triggers in this book that some readers might find disturbing. The story focuses on Killian and Millie. Killian is damaged, a psycho with a darkness in him that is unmatched. We see that he has trauma form his childhood which has totally affected how he is right now and how that shapes his obsession with Millie, a good girl, who although broken is the light to Killian’s darkness. Millie has also been through her own trials and tribulations and although she starts of as a scared young woman who blends reality and that of the unknown, she becomes empowered throughout the story and that can only be because of Killian as well as her undeterminable strength as a character.

This is certainly a dark and twisted tale that isn’t for the faint hearted. If you enjoyed the previous two books in the series, you’re going to enjoy this addition. There is just something so page turning about an anti-hero and his corruptible prey. An addicting read to a fabulously twisted series.
ARC received for a fair, honest and sometimes long review. All opinions are my own. 😊

Dirty Twisted Lord by Jordan Grant is book three in the Godless Heathens Series. It’s a Dark Asylum Bully Romance that’s written perfectly and it’s such an addictive story. Jordan Grant has an amazing talent to weave these worlds that you can lose yourself in. The characters show that not every situation is black and white that there’s a whole spectrum of colors. I honestly think that this book is my favorite out of the series, I was captivated. I read the book cover to cover in one sitting, I just had to know how it ended. My emotions went through a rollercoaster of feelings while I sat on the edge of my seat in suspense. Not only that but the portrayal of mental illness is well done and so relatable. Killian and Millie, I loved their story. Reading how they balanced one another with their dynamic was wonderful. After everything Killian went through it was amazing to see him happy. Also Millie finding her strength with him by her side was great. I absolutely loved everything about this book. If you haven’t read Jordan Grant, what are you waiting for? The writing is excellent and the characters are phenomenal. But do check your trigger warnings to be on the safe side.

This is the third book in the Godless Heathens series and we finally get to see all about Killian.
I knew from the foreword that this was going to be a book to blow my mind out of the water and Jordan did not disappoint!
Jordan has done an amazing job of describing his dark, twisted and alluring character. We finally get to see some insight into his past which defines the way he is today.
Millie is the epitome of a devout, religious good girl, who has been failed by her local support and family in a big way. I love how through Killian she recognises her beliefs and judgments aren’t always as she first thought and how both their characters develop.
This is a great addition to the series, Jordan’s compelling writing style had me invested from the beginning. As always I genuinely had no idea where the story would lead us, which is great always so intriguing. Some of the scenes did in-fact make me swoon - who knew Killian was such a sweetheart underneath that tough exterior.
Would most definitely recommend, but please make sure you read the trigger list first!

Dirty Twisted Lord is the final installment of the Godless Heathens series. This series can be read as a standalone but it is interconnected so its better to read the series in order. You won't be disappointed. This book features Killian and Millie. They both have had trauma and religion has played a part in their lives. Killian has been at the Chryseum after he witnessed something as a child which has made him want revenge against God which put Millie in his sights. Millie was a believer in god and sent to Chryseum by her father to repent against her sins. Throughout the book ther story is weaved together and they grow together before getting their own HEA.

After reading book 2 Gabe became my favourite but Killian soon took over as top guy. I loved Millie, when she realised the truth and started to gain more confidence, she stood up for herself. The work perfectly together as a couple, she is the light to his dark. This story has dark themes, so if you have triggers be aware. I loved the ending and can't wait to see what Jordan writes next.
