Another great book from Tracey! Flood Tide gives us Ripple Effect but from the POV of Sam and Iris. It was nice to back in their world again and I really enjoyed getting to see the events through their eyes. Tracey always writes such beautiful words and you can feel how much these characters mean to her. I also enjoyed getting to see some side characters in more detail.
So why the 3 star rating? First of all, let me remind you that three stars is not a bad rating. Second, it's purely my issue. I don't always do well with books that go back and in forth in time as well as POVs. This book is told in dual POV between Sam and Iris for the past and then it moves to present for more story throughout. I don't always enjoy this style of storytelling, I much prefer either do all past and then put me in the present or do a mix of past and present but one POV. That is the sole reason I gave the book 3 stars. I just had a hard time with the back and forth.
Flood Tide comes out on May 17 and you definitely don't want to miss this one if you loved Ripple Effect. While this could be a standalone, I think you should read Ripple Effect prior for the full experience.

Being that Tracey Jerald is a new author to me I was honestly not sure what to expect when I first sat down to read what ended up being one of the best books I’ve read in quite some time . If I had to choose a few words to describe Flood Tide - they would most likely be unforgettable, unputdownable, emotional rollercoaster and all the feels !! Samuel and Iris are two of the most wonderfully written characters You will ever meet . Both so likable and relatable as well as extremely unique and multi layered . I don’t want to give any details away about the storyline as it really is one your going to want to experience for yourself. What I will say is that their journey is not all hearts and flowers , there many ups and downs as well as obstacles they deal with throughout the book but one thing is undeniably true and that is the connection and the off the charts chemistry that is between them . Emotional, heartfelt, heartbreaking , intriguing, angsty , unexpected surprises, twists and turns , page Turner , love , family ,friendships, miscommunication, betrayal and so much more . Flood Tide literally kept up reading into the early morning hours, I may have lost so much sleep but it was so worth it .

Having read Ms.Jerald's work before i've been looking forward to picking up more of her work. As soon as i stumbled across this one while on social media i knew i had to pick it up next! I started looking forward to it right away. I picked it up and got into the Devotion Series! I enjoyed this story!
Iris and Sam's journey pulled me in from the get go! I wasn't sure what all to expect going into this story and i really liked how that got me into it even more!
I was so glad that i got to dig deeper with Iris and Sam. I loved how i went through many emotions throughout reading their story. I couldn't wait to see how these two would tackle things. I enjoyed the fact that their story was different.
With Flood Tide, Ms.Jerald has created a good read that made me feel so much! I am so looking forward to going back and reading the first installment in The Devotion Series, Ripple Effect!

Where to start?! First, I love everything Tracey Jerald. She writes characters that are relatable and makes you want them as your BFF. I love her style of writing and the way she manages to weave characters from her other book series into each story. Flood Tide was no exception. Flood Tide is book two in the Devotion Series and follows Sam and Iris, whom we met in Ripple Effect. Flood Tide follows the same time line as Ripple Effect but is told from Sam and Iris’ points of view. Much like Ripple Effect, book one, Tracey bounces back and forth between past and present. I don’t want to give anything away but I will say that Flood Tide will pull you in from the start and keep you turning pages into the wee hours.

I love being back in the world of Iris and Sam from a different angle. These two were very present secondary characters in Ripple Effect and I had been waiting for more from them!
As with all of author Tracey Jerald's book, I set in with my box of tissue by my side.... Only, I found they were not as necessary as what I have grown to expect from this author. I laughed more than I cried. I understood more of Ripple Effect as I read. And I smiled at the relationship that is Iris and Sam.
I am beyond excited to have had a more in depth look into this couple and to have characters from the first book reappear.

Finally getting Sam and Iris's story was amazing. I feel like its been so long since we had Cal and Libby's story. I loved hearing from their daughter. Ill admit I did struggle with the back and forth but it was worth their story. I loved seeing their side if things after having Cal and Libby's side of events. ❤❤❤

Flood Tide is book two in The Devotion series. Sam and Iris’ love story was emotional and full of angst. Their love was put to the test but they prevailed! I loved their devotion to their loved ones. I could feel all their emotions through the authors words. Their journey was beautifully written and I loved their connection.

This is book two in this series and every bit as much as a page turner as book one! You will love these characters and their storyline. Be ready to read in one sitting because you won’t be able to put it down!

A couple's journey to find love amidst adventure
This book was if the show 24 was mashed together with the show Alias, but told through flashbacks. Excellent book, packed with adventure. Loved it!

A very good story. Intense characters, heavy on family dynamics. I loved the link toward the end with Hudson Investigations and the mention of Amaryllis Evterprises. Like visiting old friends.

What a fantastic book. Iris meets Samuel, falls in love but is there a chance for romance. Such amazing characters that lead you through the story.

What an amazing book. I read it in One day! Sam and Iris love story was a very emotional rollercoaster. This book had me on the edge of my seat the whole time. I never saw what was coming. Such a great read.
