I am Acacia Drákon, and the blood of a Dragon runs through my veins.

At least, that’s the myth at Kronos University. A place so elite it makes the Ivy League look like a joke.

There, I fight for my survival, and my place in the elusive Kronos Society, all while receiving a world-class education—aren’t I lucky?

Within the world of grueling training and extravagant galas, it’s becoming harder to know who my enemy is.

If it weren't for my two consorts—my adopted cousin Gus and Liam, the boy I saved years ago—I would lose my mind. Especially as I meet my sexy mythology professor, who I'm not sure I can trust.

I was born to lead, and I refuse to hide from anyone.

Trigger Warning

This is a contemporary dark #whychoose romance series, meaning the FMC will have more than one love interest. Within this book, you will encounter taboo/forbidden themes, abduction, blood-play, dub-con, age-gap, student/teacher relationship. If any of these subjects are upsetting or triggering for you, please don't read the book.

Cia is part of a secret society legacy. She is the last of her Drakon bloodline. She is the last true heir. When she loses her parents she only has her uncle and adopted cousin left of her family. When Cia turns 15 she is given a choice to join 4 years of training on a deserted island to be a protégé, which is very secretive, or to be alone. She wants to be with her cousin Gus so that he is not alone. After that 4 years they are sent to a University where things are not what they seem. People are not who they say they are. Secrets and lies are abundant. Strange characters are introduced and your not sure if they’re trustworthy or not. Very cloak and dagger which makes this story very exciting.
This book is full of suspense, twists, turns, push and pull. Just when you think the story is going to go one way it goes into the opposite direction.
I loved the detail to mythology and the different Gods.
I am so ready for the next book!

This book is dark so be sure the check trigger warnings. Though this forbidden dark romance was different than what I normally read, I enjoyed diving into this cut throat society. I read 80% of the book in one sitting!

This was a fantastic start to another amazing series by this author! I was so intrigued when I read the blurb for this story the Greek Mythology and dark secret society vibes I was sold ! This one is filled with secrets lies and betrayals the twists and turns just kept coming! I definitely devoured this book in one sitting! Can’t wait for the next one already!

I devoured this book in a matter of hours. I could not put it down.
This is B. Lybaek first book with her real name on it and all I can say is she has knocked it out the park!
Absolutely blown away with this intriguing story. It was a constant guessing game with what would happen next and I loved it.
Such great world building and great characters too.
The author has a way of writing her books that just keeps you hooked and to say I was hooked is an understatement.
Poor Acacia. Gus is so cruel to her and starts treating her like dirt and I want to join her and Liam in wanting to stab him haha. His constant mixed signals was heartbreaking to say the least. The man needs to trust others with big secrets too, especially the people he is supposed to trust the most.

The mystery man in the storm, oh boy I need to know more. The way Cia watch’s him for weeks in the storm , I’ll agree and say it does make him seem like a god!
This part just pulled at my heart
“I’m so sorry Nereid, I lost control and I—” Kai’s soothing whisper stops and I feel more than hear the deep inhale. “I’ll make this up to you. I don’t know how, but I will.”

Such dark secrets everyone is keeping and it’s driving me nuts still not knowing everything. I just can’t take it not knowing all the details haha.

Oh damn that didn’t end where I wanted/needed it to because now I have to wait for book 2 to find out what happens. Ahhh! Cliffhangers! Haha!!

If you like steam with multiple men sharing one bad ass woman then this is right up your alley. I highly recommend this book and to be honest anything that this author writes.

Protégé: A Dark Secret Society is the first story in The Drákon Legacy series by B. Lybaek and was a phenomenal secret society, taboo, RH read!

Born into the Kronos Society, our fearless FMC Acacia has lived quite the life—first losing her parents and then having to endure “trials” and intense training over the last four years where she had to fight hard and endure so much just to prove her worth of being her family’s female Protégé. Living in a ruthless world and being part of a savage society; the trials she had to endure were unbelievable—but she survived and is now on her way to Kronos University for the next step. Lucky for her, she’s not alone as she has her two consorts with her: her cousin Augustus as well as the hot Liam Drákon. And perhaps a few more along the way. ;)

However things aren’t always what they seem, and nothing lasts forever. When their happiness is threaded, Gus makes a choice that changes everything and leaves Cia destroyed. When a near death experience reveals yet another secret love, things really start to heat up….and the question is, will they all survive?

I absolutely loved the intrigue, twists and turns and of course the hot delicious steam and chemistry between Cia and her men. Evil lurks at every corner, and you can’t help but root for our characters as they all try to navigate a world of mystery, secrets and lies.

Overall if you’re a fan of dark contemporary RH taboo secret society romances that are full of all things dark and gritty such as abduction, blood-play, age-gap and student/teacher relationships—then read on because this is just the story for you!

I cannot get enough of this story! I need book 2 like yesterday. The mystery of the secret society has me captured and I cant figure out what is going to happen next.

The small chapters of backstory revolving Acacia and her family had me slightly confused but once you get past that is where the magic truly happens, and trust me when I say you will be in for a wild ride! There is a lot of world building in this book which I personally love, and you just know its only going to get better from here.

I loved the mythology side to the story and I even started searching stuff up whilst reading because it was fascinating to say the least. It could also have something to do with the smoking hot mythology teacher that I wish could teach me a few things.
Gus is keeping so many secrets that I don't know how I feel about him right now, only time will tell.
Liam is a cutie pie who is the perfect balance for Cia and I love how their relationship is.

*I received a free copy of this book which I voluntarily chose to write an honest review for.

This is a fantastic start to a new series!!! We follow Acacia the only heir to her bloodline making her rather important. When she turns 15 she is given the choice of entering four years of training or being on her own. Since she is remarkably close to her cousin Gus she chooses to attend with him so they can remain together. After that they enter even more training that is very cloak and dagger with lots of surprises, twists, and action that will keep you hooked from page one all the way until the cliff hanger ending. I cannot wait to see what happens next! I totally loved it so I give it 5/5 stars.

I was excited to jump into this book. I love the Greek Mythological, dark, Secret society that this book had all in one. What an interesting book and I loved the journey we went on with this book world. It was an interesting take on the establish relationship between Acacia, Gus, and Liam with Poseidon coming in. And the mystery and the questions, I can’t wait to see what happens next.

At first, I genuinely thought I was reading a fantasy book. I was so confused. I honestly didn't understand any of it.

The relationships were weird. We're thrown into the midst of them. The FMC is in love with her cousin but also has a soft spot for a guy she saved and now hooks up with. She also actively pursues and stalks another guy without the others knowing. She has no loyalty or qualms about being involved with multiple guys, even though she has been in love with one guy forever. As of today, I have read 126 RHs, including this, and I don't think I have ever read an RH like it, and I don't mean this in a good way. I didn't like the dynamics.

This series is not for me. I found it bizarre. I'm still scratching my head. The FMC's lack of loyalty rubbed me the wrong way. I couldn't get over it and it ruined the book for me.

This is book 1 of 4 in The Drakon Legacy Series. Acacia Drakon has lost both her parents; and her only remaining family, her uncle, has stopped trying to reach out. Her aunt has even kept her cousin away. At age 15 her uncle returns into her life and tell her about the Drakon Legacy and offer her to train her as his protege along side her cousin. The training is to prove to the Kronos Society that the Drakon family has an heir fit to their standards. After years of training those skills are put to the test at Kronos University; so elite it makes the Ivy League look like a joke.

Trigger Warnings: This book contains blood play, dubcon, abduction, taboo relationships

My rating:☕️☕️☕️☕️☕️(5/5)

I loved it!! I can't believe work, life and sleep interrupted my reading as much as it did. I enjoyed the way this book sucked you back in regardless of how long it had been since I last picked it up. I'm team all of them all the way! Why choose may just be my new favorite trope. Liam deserves the world!! Gus could use a little more suffering only because he made Cia suffer; even if he did it with her safety in mind. And Kai!!!! Even I was crushing on mister always looks troubled in the middle of a stormy night! I wasn't expecting him to be so much older!

🚨🚨Spoilers below read at your own risk🚨🚨

I felt so bad for Cia the moment her parents died and her Uncle and his wife gave her the cold treatment. Because of the rigorous training her and Gus went through it made sense their relationship would develop the way it did. Even though by paper (and not blood) they are related. The way Liam came into the picture was so shocking!!! Because she didn't know her uncle was testing her resolve she stood for what she thought was right. Even if that meant a harsher punishment for herself. And not only did Liam at that moment instantly fall for her (his POV so you know it isn't a lie!) but she gained his loyalty from that day on. And Kai! I wish his POV would explain why he kicked them out of his spot from the beach the day they seemed to have beat him to it. I enjoyed the comparison of Kai to Poseidon. That moment at the beach when Cia ran into the water on a stormy night so bad that even the lighthouse seemed to not shine through to save Kai who she thought she hear shout and needed help once again proved her morals never faltered. Even to a stranger who she knew nothing of and without expecting to use this against him. I honestly can't wait to uncover more of Kais past and to see where his relationship with Cia goes.

"I am mother****in Acacia Drakon, the blood of a dragon runs through my veins. I make my own decisions. I'm no one's damsel in distress and I don't take orders from anyone."

Protege is an interesting, dark secret society reverse harem book with a greek mythological theme. After just reading the blurb I was incredibly excited to start this book but there is a lot to unpack. Firstly, I love the quote above it sums up Acacia's character well, also Acacia can we stop to appreciate the uniqueness and awesomeness of her name!

Secondly, we get quite a few hints and a few small backstory chapters on Acacia and her family so we understand a bit more of her character. Honestly, this information confused me slightly and left me wondering why this was all here and that happens one or twice more during the rest of the story. Nevertheless, I persevered and eventually got to where the story starts and got sucked in by the god Poseidon and Acacia's relationship or lack thereof with her cousin Gus.

What did I love about Protege? I loved the ancient secret society angle, the angst and tension between Gus and Acacia, Poseidon (not his real name but his nickname from Acacia), the greek mythology references and I did really get into the storyline. But towards the end it takes quite a dark turn that some readers might be uncomfortable with but I don't mind certain dark themes.

In Protege, part of the harem is already established with Acacia, Gus, and Liam which is a new angle on reverse harem I haven't read in a book before. There's not getting to know each other and establishing boundaries and Acacia worrying about how her other man will take another man coming into their relationship because Gus and Liam share her already. At least not initially, but then Poseidon comes and throws a spanner in the works.

Throughout the entire time reading this book the question WHY? was constantly running through my head. Why was Gus acting the way he was? Why is he keeping secrets from Acacia? and sometimes why certain bits of information are added at certain points in the story as it didn't make sense to me. Overall, however, I enjoyed reading Protege and can't wait for the second book to hopefully get some of my questions answered more.

Fascinating First-Read
This is my first ever read of Bibi’s and I will certainly be back for more!
The FMC Cia, an orphan, is the first female protege for her line at Kronus Society and she has something to prove not only to her family but herself, that she can take on this hallowed role and survive it 💪🏻
With her cousin Gus as her partner though her training in the maze and at Kronos they become consorts; she also collects Liam along the way after saving his life and these men are dedicated to her 🥰 or so it seems….. there’s secret building and actions being taken that are seemingly betrayals and causing a world of hurt 😣 there’s also an undeniable pull she’s feeling to ‘Poseidon’ whose identity is revealed but his connection to the society is top secret….nobody knows!! I will say though there are some HAWT as 🥵🤤scenes between Cia and her men despite their unstable connections!
With her being the only legitimate or viable heir Cia is constantly in danger and it appears that she’s not entirely aware of everything in the society and the wider web of who’s involved and how they’re out for her 😣
Will Cia survive or will she succumb to the darkness without discovering the plot surrounding her??!!
General notes: there is a heavy Greek mythology connection, you do not need to understand them all to enjoy the story but it does bring an interesting aspect. The timeline varies, the first couple of chapters flesh out the years prior to the university and what is mentioned in the blurb and then the rest of the book focuses on their time at uni.
Looking forward to the next book to test the theories I have!!! 😅

Protégé is the first book in the Drákon Legacy series. Cia, although female, is technically the last blood heir of the Drákon family. In order to become the head of the family, she must be a protégé first. She’s not the only Drákon protégé though. Her adopted cousin, Gus, is on the journey with her. As they enter their final year of study, a web of secrets is quickly spun around them. Cia must learn who she can trust and how to navigate the chessboard without knowing what pieces are even in play.

Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💫
Protégé has a lot of world building. I understand the purpose of it, but it took a bit for me to really get into the story. I got there, but it took some time. I enjoyed Cia’s character. She’s conveyed as a strong, independent woman. She may have lots of training to fight, but it never seemed like she was super human. She knew that she couldn’t just run into situations and come out unscathed. It felt authentic.

Gus had me feeling some type of way. There’s a lot of secrets with him and I’m very curious about what he’s protecting Cia from. Cia’s other man, Liam is 100% deserving of her love. Then there’s Kia. I have no idea how to feel about him. There’s a lot of unknowns surrounding who he really is and his agenda. I’m definitely on board for finding out what makes him tick.

Overall - it took a significant chunk of the story before the meat of the situation started to become somewhat clearer. When Protégé hits that point, it is an intriguing story with flawed and interesting characters. 4.5 stars - can’t wait to see where this story goes!

🌶🌶.5

I was confused as shit for the beginning of the book. We dove right into things, starting when Cia is fifteen, without much context as to what she was really training for besides to potentially take over the family with her lover/adopted-cousin. We got answers as to why her training was so tough throughout the book tho.

Once I finally got the gist of things and I figured out the authors writing style, things became clearer, and I'm actually quite invested in this series now.

Although, some of Cia's reactions to things was a bit dramatic in my eyes. She's quick to put her steel walls up but not really mature enough to realize shits happening behind the scenes for everyone in her life and not just her.

Gus, Gus, Gus. I don't even know what to think of him to be honest. He's supposed to have the same training as Cia but just seems incredibly soft and lacks brain cells. He knew shit was weird for the last couple of months, knew his mother didn't like Cia, and was still surprised by her actions?? Also, what's so important that he's willing to ruin his relationship with Cia for by keeping it from her, but he can tell Liam?

Liam, my favorite. Her ride or die. The one who's not afraid to stab someone if it's needed and he's most aware of others feelings, like Cia's towards Kai. Although, I feel like his secrets are definitely going to earn him a swift kick to the nuts in the next book.

And lastly, Kai. I just knowwww you're going to hurt me lmfao. Secretive "professor" with a possessive streak a mile wide. *swoon*

This book was so not what I was expecting it to be. I was intrigued by the blurb and boy was I not disappointed. We meet Acacia, Augustus and Nioklas in the beginning. Acacia’s parents have died and her uncle goes to her telling her he will train her as a Protégé heir to the Drakon family. She has a short amount of time to decide and she accepts his offer. The trials are ruthless but safe along with her cousin Augustus pass and go on to attend Kronos University together. Augustus is not her blood cousin and they begin a relationship along with Liam her other consort. There are things going on behind the scenes and to protect Acacia Augustus “Gus” breaks things off with her. She is crushed and makes him painfully aware if this since he can not tell her why he is backing off. Acacia has been seeing a man at the beach that she never approaches aged age calls him Poseidon. Unbeknownst to her he is her new Mythology Professor. She goes to the beach one night and almost drowns and Poseidon aka Kai saves her life. Things progress in their world and the person keeping Gus and Acacia apart up’s their game and had her kidnapped. Having no other choice Gus goes to Kai for help in getting her back. This book has everything from intrigue to steamy scenes. Acacia is smarter than she seems and breaks things down like pieces on a chessboard. Who will be The Heir Acacia or Gus. I really cannot wait for Book 2

OMG!! This was an exhilarating start to this amazing new series. I don’t think I stopped for one minute to catch my breath. I was glued to my seat, unwilling to put this book down until I was done and then when I finally closed the book – WOW - I think that was when I could actually take a deep breath.

The story was so unique, creative and riveting that each chapter exploded off the pages and either had me laughing, crying or just freaking shocked at the twists and turns being thrown at me. It’s a dark, gritty, bloody, violent and steamy story filled with Greek Mythology and a dark secret society that I could not get enough of.

Acacia is one hell of a bad ass woman. She’s feisty and snarky with killer vibes that ooze off her. I would not want to meet her in a dark alley. Unfortunately, her closest ally is keeping dark secrets from her making her lose faith and trust in those around her. But the steaminess between Acacia, Liam and Gus – WOW – it was explosively hot and titillating.

This story is filled with layer upon layer of secrets that kept me guessing every step of the way. Every time a layer gets peeled back, 100 more pop up in its place, leaving me pulling my hair out because of all the unknowns. And then that cliffhanger of an ending WTF! I will now pick my jaw up off the floor and hope we get book 2 soon!

I absolutely loved every dark and delicious second of this book!

“Besides, I’m a Drákon, and we don’t let life get us down for long. Instead, we fight and claw our way back up.”

I was hooked from the blurb alone. A secret society AND dragons? Sold.

Everything about Protégé lures you in and keeps you captivated from start to finish. I finished in less than a day.

Protégé is so well written, and has such a good world building around it. I fell in love with her writing in Tempting Distractions and am still in love.

Acacia is such a badass, her strong side followed by the ride-or-die vibes to those she loves. All the guys too, they are such strong characters and I love them. I literally can’t choose. Liam.

The greek mythology is one of my favorite parts, and the romance they all have? Goddess above, I love them all.

I NEED Heir to come out like right now, I need to know what happens next. PLS.

“ ‘Come any closer and I’ll f*cking kill you.’ Liam’s voice is colder and more menacing than I’ve ever heard it before.”

B Lybaek has created one of the most intriguing, and addictive series I've ever started. The sheer depth of knowledge she has of Greek mythology is clearly displayed in her amazing world building and the dark depths of this ancient secret society.

Cia is utterly spellbinding I love her strength in adversity, her tenacity and her fighting spirit make her one of my favourite fmcs of all time. She might be a well honed weapon thanks to her training but she still possesses a vulnerability that makes her human and relatable.

Gus is as gorgeous as he is deadly but this boy is burdened and its spiralling out of his control. He's a complex character but I love the layers he has and I hope he sees the light and let's those he's meant to love in so they can help.

Liam is just exquisite, loyal and irrevocably in love with Cia, he will do whatever it takes to be by her side and protect. She needs a constant in her corner as they navigate this treacherous world.

Kai well, he might just be my favourite out of all the guys. He's steeped in mystery, I'm certain we'll get to chip away at his armour as the series progresses but there is so much more to this man, this god then anyone knows.

This book is dark, twisted and filled with amazingly detailed world buying that will transport you to experience everything as if you were a fly on the wall.

I can not wait for Heir to come out because the addiction is real.

“Every maze needs a monster.”

Welcome to the world of the drakon legacy. Cia is a protege training under her uncle and beside her cousin to become the future heir of the Drakon legacy. It took loosing everything for Cia to agree to the monster mazes and partake in the training. On the plus side, she gets to reunite with her love, her cousin. She goes through brutal training with Gus, never giving up and determined to overcome every obstacle thrown her way. Gus is not her only love, then comes along Liam, her second consort.. not all is as it seems and Cia is left questioning where loyalties lie and who she can trust. We get multiple POV throughout which I enjoyed. “Poisedon”was a mystery from the start and I enjoyed unravelling his story because FUCKK it takes a turn towards the end 🥵🥵 the tension is HOTT… this book really picks up towards the end, the outcome is not quite how I saw things planning out but a great twist all the same! I’m left with sooo many questions! And prepare yourself for that cliffhanger guys 😜😂 this book does contain dark features so might not be everyone’s cuppa tea! But hey, I love my tea hot and dark 🖤😜

I received an Advanced Reader Copy for an honest and voluntary review

I really enjoyed the start of this new series by B. Lybaek ♥️ The first book was so amazing and action packed!! I really liked the FMC Acacia 🖤 She’s had tragedy in her life, but she’s learned how to be tough and a survivor. She has to fight for her life in the “trials” set up by her society. I can’t wait to see what Acacia’s story brings us in the next book 🤗
Acacia was born into the Kronos Society. After the loss of her parents, Acacia has been chosen to participate in the “trials.” For 4 years, she has literally had to fight for her survival to become her family’s next Protégé. Proving herself in the “trials,” Acacia now has to attend Kronos University. She thinks she’s finally caught a break, because she’s being escorted by her cousin, Augustus, and Liam Drakon 😍🖤 Unfortunately Acacia’s happiness is short lived, when Augustus makes a decision that changes the course of things, and it spells trouble for her. Will Acacia be able to overcome certain obstacles, when not everything is as it seems, and evil lurks right around the corner….Welcome to Kronos University. A place filled with secrets and lies…..
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK 💙🖤

This series starts off with so many secrets and a twisted tale. Cia and Gus are the last of the Drakon Legacy and the only heirs left. After years of training and secret lessons these two are sent to school as Protege's and to learn how the society works. These two have been united and promised to protect each other since they were teenagers but something or someone has torn them apart. Secrets are being kept and lies and betrayals are twisted in this crazy tale Cia is one fierce and headstrong women who wont let anyone walk all over her Gus will do anything to protect her. Then we have Liam her consort that will give his life for her. We also meet Kia who is not what he seems , so mysterious and enchanting but how dangerous is he to CIa. This story will keep you on your toes while your emotions are all over the place. These characters are well developed and will enthrall you from the beginning and the story is phenomenally written so you are pulled right into the society world with them. Then you get hit will an incredible cliffhanger and you just can't wit for the next book to find out what is going to happen next. I was given this book as an ARC for my honest review,

Stephannie's 4-Star Review:

Acacia /Cia, is an orphan, who is the first female protege for her line at Kronus Society.
Her cousin Augustus/Gus who was adopted is also in line for the protege at Kronus Society. These two partner up throughout their training in the maze and become consorts or lovers; she also has another consort in Liam. Cia goes out to the beach to watch "Poseidon" when it is storming.
She is the only legitimate or viable heir and now she is constantly in danger and she doesn't know what is going on in the society. someone is purposely keeping her out of the loop. But why?
Will Cia survive and will she discover the plot surrounding her??!!

I don't know much about Greek Mythology but I did enjoy this book. Sometimes I didn't understand certain things but as I read I figured them out. I really liked this story and felt sad and mad for Cia because she goes through a lot in this book. She is a tough cookie but still seeking love and comfort because she doesn't have a family except for her uncle and Gus and I am questioning them about a few things that happen. I can't wait to read more in the next book. I am glad I gave this one a try. One-click today!

This book is a dark read centered around a secret society. There is centered around Greek mythology, which you don't find everyone in a romance book, let alone a reverse harem. I love this was blended in. There is character build up for Cia and Gus, but not much else for the other men in her life. I felt like there wasn't really a plot and more of a developing plot as the story moves on. There is lots of mystery surrounding the secret society, and you don't know much else besides that. While reading the Greek mythology being thrown in, there were times throughout the book where I thought it might be a paranormal romance, so it kept throwing me for a loop. Liam was just thrown in, and we got a snippet of how he met Cia. I don't like how his character is portrayed. For some reason, he comes off too strong, and his personality doesn't fit quite right. Gus sort of has no personality, and you can really describe or picture him from what you read about him. The steam would be about 3 out of 5. Plot is a developing mystery. It was a slow buildup until 60% in. The story moves faster about 80% in. It was a good read.

I’ve read previous works by this author, and when it comes to this book, her style of writing is not an exception.

Our FMC, Cia, is many things, the last of the Drakon Bloodline, the legacy of a secret society, and to top it off the last true heir. So much for a 15 year old to contend with, right? But she has no choice, not when she looses her parents, and the only remaining family she has left is her uncle and cousin, but life is all about throwing wicked curveballs and Cia is about the to face hers.

On a deserted island, Cia would spend 4 years training, no less than to be a protégé, know one knows it secrets, because to do this is to be alone, but when it comes to Gus, her cousin, the answer to her choice is easily made.

However, after 4 years, they are sent to a university, of all places, and everything is not what it seems. We will come across an array of people who are not who they say they are, ones that hide and carry secrets and lies, and they will protect at all costs. Trust is never any easy thing because once you have it, it’s not something you want to let go of.

If you love contemporary dark, why choose romance, reverse harem, secrets society, taboo/ forbidden relationship, age-gap, student/ teacher relationship with content warnings and kinks that will get your hearts racing then this story is for you.

Highly recommended both the author and the book.

I received an ARC. Therefore, I am submitting a voluntary review.

This. S#!t. Is. Wild!!! 😳
I’m not even sure if I know how to unpack everything I just read here…
So we have secret society on steroids. Some super forbidden relationships. An extremely weird university for the “elite” with an odd curriculum. A mysterious teacher who seems to be a lot more than a teacher. And behind all of that is this sketchy AF “something” going on causing all of these little chess pieces to move around on this huge board while we are oblivious to what it looks like… 😅🙈
I’m so incredibly frustrated and intrigued at the same time I can’t make heads or tails of how I feel about the events that just played out in that epically WTAF of an ending!..
All I know is that I will be reading book two because I absolutely HAVE to know how this moves forward and I will be randomly shouting curses inside my brain at myself for not being able to figure out what in the actual h3ll is going on.
Not me over here crossing my fingers, toes, ankles, literally anything I can cross, in hopes that the release date for book two magically gets moved up!

First read for me from Bibi. I promise you it will NOT be my last!

Cia is fierce and sexy as hell. She asks for exactly what she wants, when she wants it AND HOW she wants it 😏 and she's protective of what's hers, rightfully so!

Gus, omg, Gus. I'll take one please! Haha he obviously has his secrets, but the way he is with Cia 🥵🥵 and he clearly loves her. I'm excited to see more of them...hopefully

Liam, steadfast Liam. His love for Cia is unwavering. Ugh, so sweet and so HOT 🔥

Posieden...a.k.a Kai 💦🥵💦🥵 omg, yes to ALL of that and then some. I love how he was introduced and how much growth we saw from his character alone. I am VERY much looking forward to learning his secrets.

This book drew me in, especially with all the Greek mythology and history. I'm here for the long haul, and plan on devouring all the books in this series as they come out. Cliffhangers and all!

The blurb drew me in. I always enjoy something with a mythological reference and throw in a secret society and I’m a happy reader.

Cia is one of the protégés and she is one female who you’ll love. She’s a spitfire who can definitely defend herself the way she’s been trained. As part of a secret society, she is destined to inherit a position that controls everything it seems. Liam and Gus are a part of the society and with her form some form of triumvirate.

The story building was spot on and created a mystery that had me a bit confused in the beginning. Love the action and banter that Cia and Gus have. Whew they know how to set on fire the pages. Liam is softer but will surprise you. Love the strong and silent type. And can we talk about Kai? Who is he really?

Dying for the next book after that ending.

* I received this book as an ARC for an honest review.

This is such a twisty book, I really loved the story and the heat levels. I did get confused about a few things but figured it out as I kept reading. I didn't find it immediately obvious that Cia was already in a relationship with Gus and Liam, but I think that was supposed to be revealed slowly. There is a lot going on here, a family with complicated relationships, secrets and a legacy that Cia and Gus are expected to compete for. Two relationships with guys that Cia loves and adores but maybe they're breaking her trust with their own secrets. Then there is the hot God like man she stalks at the beach, who then turns out to be one of her professors but also has his own secrets and agenda. Twisty, twisty! But, full of action, a pretty awesome story and an intricate back story. I look forward to learning more as there is a seductive darkness to this book, with knife and blood play.

Wow. Just wow. This was the first book I’ve ever read by this author and I’m thoroughly flummoxed. This book, well…it hooks you in from the blurb and it just gets you from the first page all the way to the end. If it wasn’t for work then I probably would’ve been glued to my kindle, but sadly work beckoned. But I finished it and I’m seriously in need for book 2.

In this book we are introduced to Acacia, the heir to the Drakon legacy. Her uncle Nickolaus holds the seat now and will start training both her and his adopted son to take over. Liam is my favorite, he’s Cia’s boyfriend/consort. Actually so is Augustus. There’s so much to this story but I can’t unpack it all. I highly recommend just reading it.
